Sex Discrimination and Equal Pay

Dear Member

 

We believe that Fife Council is continuing to discriminate against you on the grounds that the interpretation of the new job evaluation scheme is wrong, resulting in you potentially missing out on money that you are entitled to.

 

GMB believe when you were put up a pay grade and if you have the correct length of service you should be at the top of your pay grade, but Fife Council don’t think you are.

 

If you are a GMB member whose job is one of the below then we believe you may be entitled to an equal pay claim:

 

  • Catering Supervisor (whose grade has moved from FC3 to FC4)
  • Home Carer
  • Cook 4
  • ICASS
  • Nightlink
  • IRT
  • Rehab
  • START
  • Very Sheltered Housing

In order for us to progress any claim for you, it is essential that you complete the enclosed mandate form and return this to us in the prepaid envelope by NO LATER than Friday 15th June.

 

It is really important that you complete and return the form as soon as possible as WE CANNOT SUBMIT ANY CLAIM on your behalf if you do not give us consent.

 

Additionally, the mandate forms we have sent you comply with the new Data Protection rules (GDPR) which came into effect on the 25th May. You must fully complete the form to allow us to contact you regarding your potential claim and to provide you with any updates.

 

You MUST complete the enclosed mandate, even if you have already completed one previously to validate any potential claim.
